Alison Katerji – Acting Chief Executive
Alison’s is currently Carers Network’s acting Chief Executive. In this role Alison is responsible for the overall management of Carers Network reporting to the trustees on all organisational policy and financial matters. Alison develops strategy, ensures close monitoring of carer services and works in partnership with senior statutory and voluntary sector representatives to ensure that the aims and objectives of Carers Network and its commitment to quality service delivery to carers, are promoted and maintained. Her substantive role is Head of Operations / Deputy CEO. In this role Alison manages our finance, human resources, IT and premises and ensures that our systems and processes run smoothly to the benefit of all who use our services.Email Alison: email@example.com
Lydia oversees all of our carers services, including developing new services and monitoring contracts. Lydia is also responsible for the quality of our service delivery, including maintaining our PQASSO Quality Mark and Carers Trust Quality Mark, and leading on safeguarding.

Dan leads on the development and delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy. This includes researching and approaching a range of potential supporters such as charitable trusts, individual supporters and local businesses. Francis manages our project supporting End of Life carers (aged over 65)
Carers Network’s new End of Life Project supports carers who are over 65 and caring for someone at the end of their life. The project, funded by City Bridge Trust, provides specialist and tailored (emotional, practical and psychological) support as well as respite breaks, social opportunities, help with future planning for the carer’s own life and information on further support and services from other relevant services.

Anita manages Westminster carer support workers. She oversees the development and delivery of the carers’ service in Westminster including developing new contacts, new referrals and implementing changes to services delivery. Anita coordinate a programme of training for carers and also supports the Carers Action group.

Alix Richards – Hammersmith & Fulham Carers Service Manager
Alix manages Hammersmith & Fulham carer support workers. She oversees the development and delivery of the carers’ service in Hammersmith & Fulham including developing new contacts, new referrals and implementing changes to services delivery. Alix coordinate a programme of training for carers and also facilitates and develops the carer representative forum.

Lorna works closely with carers in Westminster providing advocacy and ensuring access to services. Lorna works individually with carers to assist with specific needs particularly for carers of older people.

Khursheda Ismoilzoda – Carer Support Worker (Learning Disability)
Khursheda supports carers in the borough of Westminster by providing information and advice on their rights and entitlements and through helping them access the local services they need. She runs carers support groups and drop-in surgeries, offers one-to-one interviews to help carers complete their Carer Assessments – as well as referring and signposting carers to other organisations who can help further.
Khursheda also facilitates coffee mornings for carers and the families of adults and children with a learning disability living in Westminster. Together with Carers’ Representatives, she feeds back carers’ concerns and difficulties at the Tri-Borough Learning Disability Partnership Board.

Rebecca supports carers in the borough of Westminster; she offers information and advice to carers as well as sign posting them to other organisations. She also facilitates support groups for carers of adults with mental health problems, providing a safe space for them to socialise and get advice. Rebecca provides one-to-one appointments supporting individuals to complete their carers assessments so she can identify how Carers Network can best support them.

Rose Bernstein – City Carer Support Worker
Rose has a background of providing support and advice in charities and in the NHS. She is based in and around the City on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays. She will do everything she can to make the new service from Carers Network for City carers work for you. Ashley Young – Former Carers Support Worker
Ashley recently joined Carers Network to deliver the Former Carers Project. This is a new project funded by the Lloyds Bank Foundation that was created to support former carers during the transition when their caring role comes to an end. Through this work, she’ll be supporting former carers on a 1:1 basis as well as helping them to access other local services.
She has been working with unpaid carers for the last two years and currently runs a Time For Me project delivering social activities in Kensington & Chelsea for unpaid carers over the age of 50 on Thursday and Friday each week. During this time she has met with people coming to the end of their caring role and understands some of the issues they face. Ashley feels very passionate about working on this much needed new project.

Bernadette is responsible for the day to day organisation and management of both Carers Network offices. Her duties include developing and managing internal systems and administrative procedures. She also supervises administrative staff and volunteers.

Rose administers the carers’ grants, as well as the Carers Emergency Card scheme for Westminster carers. She also helps provide day-to-day administration and office support, including answering carer queries and registering new carers.

Mark is Communications Officer, responsible for Carers Network’s internal and external communications and producing our quarterly newsletters. Mark also communicates with all key stakeholders, extending our outreach and partnership work with statutory and voluntary organisations, and oversees our website and social media. Furthermore, he works on ensuring that the needs of carers are promoted through the delivery of meaningful events throughout the year.

Viola is responsible for managing the project by developing strategies to ensure the Time Bank project meets its outcomes. She also reports to trustees and the Big Lottery Fund on operational and financial matters. Viola promotes the Time Bank project and works with other organisations to widen its reach. She monitors and evaluates the project to ensure it meets its aim and objectives and operates within budget as well as ensuring Health & Safety procedures and guidelines are maintained to safeguard carers and staff members.

Siyane is the Time Bank Broker at Carers Timebank. She is responsible for recruiting and supporting informal carers of dependant relatives and volunteers to become members of the Time Bank. Siyane helps to develop a community of carers and volunteers able to help each other by sharing their local knowledge, skills and expertise. She facilitates Time Bank events and activities and brokers skill exchanges between members. Siyane is responsible for promoting the Time Bank and building links with local businesses to increase the number and range of opportunities for members to spend their time credits. She also produces publicity materials and oversees social media and the website for the Time Bank.

Meet our Trustees
Chair – Steven Bramley oversees the smooth running of the board and also works as a lawyer for Central Government. He joined Carers Network as a Trustee in 2013. Steven is married with three grown up sons and lives in Buckinghamshire.
David Evans retired from employment in March 2013 after a career in the public and voluntary sectors. David is an HR specialist with experience in a variety of roles. Posts held include Assistant Education Officer for LB Hounslow, Deputy Chief Executive for Citizens Advice and last role as HR Director for Land Registry. His interest in the role of carers comes from supporting his father who was his mother’s carer. Apart from being a Trustee for Carers Network, David is also a steward for Shakespeare Globe, and governor at Sunbury Manor Secondary School.
Jihan Salha currently cares for her daughter who has arthrogryposis. She is an active steering group member on the Brent Advocacy Group and Westminster Parent Participation Group. Jihan is passionate about raising the voice of carers. Jihan also teaches at an Arabic school for 4-16 year olds.
U Hla Htay (Htay) has been supporting the work of carers since 2000, during and following his own experience of caring for his wife with dementia. He is a Carers UK carer Ambassador and a member of Carers Action and has extensive experience of representing carers in a range of arenas including the health service, GP surgeries and dementia care in the community. Htay regularly contributes to dementia research at the UCL, KCL and is a member of Brain for Dementia Research and Brain Tissue Grant Committee at KCL and Newcastle University.
Nadia Taylor is a Graduate in Politics and International Relations and has over 7 years’ experience as a Paralegal having worked as a Contracts Manager within the legal department of a brand management company. She currently serves as an elected Governor Representative on the Children and Education Policy and Accountability Committee for Hammersmith & Fulham. She is a full-time carer for her mother who has a severe visual impairment and physical mobility difficulties. Nadia lives in Hammersmith and is also a School Governor. She hopes that by becoming a Trustee of Carers Network, she can help us to shape our services to reflect the needs of carers in Hammersmith and to help us reach out to more carers under 60 in particular.
Liz Adair – Liz has substantial experience of clinical and senior management in the NHS and the private healthcare sector. She currently works as Head of Quality for Viapath who provide pathology services. Liz originally trained as a nurse and has worked with a number of hospital trusts, in the community with families and CCGs. She has carer responsibilities for members of her family, and is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care to patients, their carers and families.
Emma Snow – Emma has spent her career in EY’s (Ernst & Young) Corporate Finance practice supporting private sector and public sector organisations going through periods of change, specifically through delivery of carve-outs, integrations and performance improvement programmes. Emma is committed to using her skills to give back to the wider community and has undertaken two non-profit, skills-based secondments with EY: three months in Ghana in 2014 and two months in Palestine in 2016, supporting small, passionate organisations that make a tangible difference within their society. Back in London, Emma has supported Carers Network since 2016 in a strategic advisor capacity, primarily with our developing CN’s vision and mission, and took on a Trustee role in March 2017.
Linda McHugh – Linda has extensive experience of leading organisations and has been chief executive of six private sector companies. She is currently a Parole Commissioner for Northern Ireland, Chair of the Finance and Planning Committee of Westminster Cathedral and a member of the Audit Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales. She is also a trustee or Board member of a number of other organisations, including Westminster-based Woman’s Trust. and Westminster Amalgamated Charity. Linda has expertise in management, marketing, finance and strategic planning.
Jenny Ousbey – Jenny lives in Hammersmith and is Head of Health at communications and public affairs consultancy WA Communications. Jenny has a background in politics, policy and media and substantial experience of the health sector. Jenny was previously senior political adviser to the former Minister of State for Care Services, Paul Burstow MP.
Punam Birly – Punam is a solicitor and partner at KPMG. She is head of Legal – Employment & Immigration at KPMG and her wider experience includes managing organisational change and helping clients to anticipate and respond to changes in the UK and global business environment. Punam has a keen interest in talent development and career counselling and is passionate about supporting carers.
