Carer Support Groups, Peer Support Groups, Drop-ins and Surgeries

Carers Network is committed to encouraging carers to gain confidence, make their own choices and support each other. Our vision is to support carers to support each other and lead their own groups. This way we ‘create’ a larger number of social meetings and events, reaching an increased number of carers and empower carers to peer support.

The core benefit of Peer Support Groups for carers is being able to share personal experience with other carers who can understand their situation. Being able to mutually offer and receive support can be a hugely rewarding experience. All Peer Groups are facilitated by carer support workers.

We host Peer Support Group for carers who support:

  • people with mental health conditions
  • older people
  • people with learning disabilities
  • people with autism
  • Bangladeshi communities

Hammersmith and Fulham Support Groups for Adult Carers

Support groups meet weekly at locations across the Hammersmith & Fulham. These informal groups give carers a chance to meet other people in similar situations, to talk about their experiences and alleviate some of the isolation felt by many carers. You do not need to make an appointment to attend and you can turn up on the day. Newcomers are welcome.
