Carers Week Logo 1The countdown is on for Carers Week 2016!

This year’s focus is on building Carer Friendly Communities; communities which support carers to look after their family or friends well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.

To celebrate Carers Week we have a busy week of activities or Westminster carers.

Thames CruiseTuesday 7 June we’ll be exploring The Thames on a River Cruise. We have a number of tickets available which enable you to hop on and off the boats as many times as you like during the day. We’ll be meeting at Westminster Pier at 11am where you can collect your ticket, and we’ll depart on the 11.30am boat to Greenwich.

Happy-25th-Birthday-26Wednesday 8 June we’ll have a Physical Activity and Wellbeing workshop at the Beethoven Centre (11am – 12pm) before our main event which will be a celebration of Carers Network’s 25th birthday – also at the Beethoven Centre. Come along to join in the fun from 1pm. There’ll be a tea and cake, a Laughter Workshop, a fun light physical activity session, and Carers Time Bank members will be demonstrating their skills – we’ll also be inaugurating the Great Carers Bake Off! Find out more information here.

Guided TourFriday 10 June finally – and like the river cruise, back by popular demand – we have a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament. The group will be meeting at Westminster tube station at 10.25am for a 10.55am tour.
