Have you struggled with finances?
Have you struggled to access financial products/services or ended up paying a premium for them?
To help businesses understand and act upon the issue. THREE HANDS are running an ‘Outside In Project’ session on the topic of financial inclusion on Tuesday 21 June.
The ‘Outside In Project’ is a series of sessions about different social topics that runs six times over the year for 12 member companies, including Nationwide, NatWest, Santander, Currys, Virgin Media, O2 and Wessex Water.
Financial inclusion is all about making sure people have access to useful and affordable financial products and services that meet their needs.
Financial exclusion can be caused by factors such as lack of digital capability or willingness, a preference or need to use cash, and homelessness (the no home address/ no bank account vicious circle).
At the session they would like to hear from a small number of unpaid carers who have experienced financial exclusion, to help businesses understand and act upon the issue.
They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has struggled to access financial products/services or ended up paying a premium for them due to their life circumstances.
If you have a lived experience in this area which you would be comfortable sharing with businesses (on virtual Zoom format) between 9.00am and 10.30am on Tuesday 21st June, please email Roz, at Rosalyn@threehands.co.uk by 12pm on Monday 6th June.
If you could provide Roz with a sentence or two about your experience it would give THREE HANDS a really helpful head start! For those who end up taking part in the session we’d be pleased to say thank you with a small payment or voucher.
