Come to a free Positive Behaviour Support workshop for Family Carers.

When:  4th July 2018

Where:  Lillia Huset Professional Centre, 191 Talgarth Road, London, W6 8BJ.

There will be a morning and an afternoon workshop:  09:30am till 12:00 noon and 12:30 till 3:00pm

Tea, Coffee and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Lunch will also be provided between 12:00 – 12:30

These Positive Behavioural Support workshops are tailored to settings which support children and adults with mental health difficulties and/or learning disabilities including living at or away from home.

This course is aimed at family carers who support people whom for a variety of reasons present challenging behaviour.

Participants will gain an understanding of the reasons and underlying causes of challenging behaviour, what steps can be taken to reduce the likelihood of such behaviours occurring in the first instance, and learn a range of practical strategies.

The workshop will enable you to improve the quality of support received by people with learning disabilities and/or autism who also have a mental health needs, or behaviour that challenges, by equipping family members and support staff with the skills to support them in a way that maximises wellbeing and minimises potential risks.
